Still no Harper. Andrea had a doctor’s appointment yesterday and there hasn’t been any physical progress since the week before. The doctor asked if we wanted to schedule to have her induced next week - which would be her official due date - but we’ve decided to just let nature take its course. If she’s not here by next Thursday, though, then we might look into an induction…inducement…whatever the proper term is (I’ve heard it both ways, though the English nerd in me says “induction” is right).
The anticipation is really torture right now. Harper is in position, Andrea’s body is beginning to prepare for the birth, and yet…nada. It’s just frustrating as we’re both dying to meet this kid. But, as I said before, we’re just going to let nature do whatever it has to do. I just wish Mother Nature would hurry up.
Keep checking back. Maybe the big news will come this weekend. I’d be ok with that.

Andrea has been having some infrequent, minor contractions since Sunday. So, really, things could happen anytime now.
If you’re one of our close friends and/or family, keep your cell phones on and keep checking this site for more news when it happens!

We are officially 30 days away from Harper’s due date! I can’t believe it; it’s gone so fast.
I’m sorry we haven’t been updating much, but we are frantically getting ready for the holidays and our little girl’s arrival. I swear, swear, swear I will get pictures of the nursery up next week. We’re going to be working on her room this week and the coming weekend, so we’ll be sure to take some shots once we’re finished.
Speaking of getting ready, Andrea’s nesting instinct has kicked in. She’s cleaning, arranging, folding, and generally being all motherly in Harper’s room and around the house. This place’ll be spotless in no time at this rate!
Over the weekend, Andrea installed the car seat base in the backseat of her car. We wanted to make sure it was in there way ahead of time so that we don’t have to mess with grabbing it on the way to the hospital or anything. I’m sure we’ll have enough on our minds without worrying about that. We snapped the actual car seat into place before we ran some errands today. Needless to say it was weird, but we’ll get used to it.
Not much else to tell, really. Our school semesters are winding down now - this is our last week of regular classes with finals taking place next week - so we’re looking forward to having our evenings free to work on getting our place ready for the holidays. The ENTIRE Lammle Clan is coming down…17 people in our condo for Christmas! It’s going to be crazy, but we cannot wait to be surrounded by all those loved-ones. And who knows…maybe there will be 18 by the time it’s all said and done.
