You’ve been asking for them, so here we go!

This is only the first round of what will surely be plenty more to come.  These highlights were taken by various members of my family, so they are just an appetizer of what we’ll be seeing as more photos come in.

We would love to get as many pictures as possible, so please send them our way by all means.

While we unwind and unpack, I wanted to say a quick “thank you” to everyone who attended our wedding on Saturday.  I know many of you traveled from San Diego, Detroit, Chicago, and St. Louis to be there and I cannot tell you how much that meant to the both of us. 

We have already gotten some pictures from friends and family that we’ll be picking through tonight and posting some highlights for you to check out.  And if you have any that you think we’d enjoy, email them or send a CD-ROM and we’ll be happy to add them to our collection.

This is it, folks!  The day we’ve all been waiting for.  We’ve already had a wonderful evening with the rehearsal and the dinner following with many of our friends and family.  And of course we look forward to seeing everyone we love at the church tomorrow afternoon.

If you weren’t able to make it, you will be missed and I hope we can catch up sometime in the near future.  For those of you who will be attending, we hope you enjoy your evening and we thank you for joining us on this very special day.

If for whatever reason you haven’t booked a hotel room yet, I was just looking online today at hotels.com and there are quite a few rooms in the area still available. I can’t guarantee they’re going to be the nicest rooms with all the best amenities, but it will be a roof over your head and bed to sleep on.

So if you’re still in need of a room for next weekend, go check out www.hotels.com and do a search for Champaign, IL. There are a few listings for Danville, but I would avoid those if possible since Danville is quite a ways away. Otherwise, though, Rantoul, Tuscola, Tolono, and even a few still available in Champaign, would work out nicely.

We’re getting close! I can’t believe the day is almost here. When we got engaged on July 4, 2005, it seemed like October 2006 was too far away. Now that it’s almost here, we’re wishing we had another week or two to tie up all of these loose ends.

However, we really don’t have all that much left to do. Andrea has one more fitting for her dress, we have to finalize plans at The Refinery for the reception, and we need to print up name cards, seating area cards and the programs. But, really, all of that is one good afternoon of sitting in front of the computer. Of course the day before and the day of will be insanity with a half-million things to do, but I’m confident that everything will go off without a (major) hitch. As long as we both make it to the church on time and don’t forget our own names (which is entirely possible), we should be fine.

By the way, I know we still have a few RSVP’s that haven’t come back. If you’re one of these forgetful folks, please let us know via email or a phone call whether you’re going to be there or not. We have to give the caterers a final number this weekend, plus we want to make sure that you have a seat at the reception.
