Andrea has been sick for the last few days, so everyone send her “Get Well Soon” vibes if you would. But while she’s been down and out with a case of bronchitis, she has still been a busy gal.

As an early wedding present, to be enjoyed at the reception and probably for some time after, she bought me a box of Aiello cigars from a local tobacconist. But she didn’t stop there. Oh, no, because she is, obviously, the coolest fiancee ever.

While home sick from work today she made custom Space Monkey X logo cigar bands for each and every stogie in the box - all 25 of them. This is a lot of work, folks! Not only did she design the bands herself on the computer, but then she had to take every cigar out of the wrapper, cut out the band from a print out, glue them around the cigar, and then put the cigars back in their wrappers (which, believe me, is not an easy thing to do once, let alone 25 times). This was a really big project and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all her hard work.

So for those of you who are interested in lighting one up at the wedding, get in line because they’ll go awfully fast.

We are exactly a month away, folks! Pretty exciting, huh?

We are heading to Fisher this weekend to wrap up some loose ends at the reception hall, Andrea’s trying on her newly-altered dress, and we’re meeting with the preacher to get all of the ceremony details worked out. It should be a hectic, but rewarding weekend.

Keep sending in those RSVP’s. We’re excited to see everyone that’s coming so far. It should be quite a shindig.

Also, you have to book your hotel room right now. They’re releasing them today at some point - probably this evening - so get to it. You don’t want to spend $250 for a hotel room in Champaign…or anywhere for that matter.

You only have one week left to secure one of the rooms at the Drury or Country Inn. As of September 14, the rooms are released.

This is it, folks!  Time is running out to book a hotel.  All the rooms will be released to the general public on Friday, 9/14, so if you’re planning on staying overnight, you better get your name on the books by calling the Country Inn & Suites or Drury Inn.  Contact information can be found to the right under “Accommodations”, so get to it.
